Class Description: This 60-Minute WARM Deep Flow Class With Music is an ALL LEVELS class with a slower, flowing pace and a longer floor series. Longer holds and an emphasis on hip-opening poses help release built-up tension and stress. New yogis are welcome. This is a WARM class and includes optional in-class assists from Power Yoga Canada Mississauga’s Assisting Team. Assists help deepen your practice through an embodied learning of each pose. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats if they have one. Yoga mats will also be available to rent at the studio if needed.

Instructor Bio - Chiara Falcao:

Chiara has been teaching yoga since 2017 and has been practicing since the age of 12. Yoga first entered Chiara’s life during a time of seeking support, community, and healing, and the practice has remained an important source of connection and wellbeing ever since.

Chiara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a postgraduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health. Drawing on both lived and professional experience with mental health challenges, Chiara aims to create a safe and supportive space where students can move, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.

The goal in every class is for students to leave the mat feeling supported, empowered, and stronger than when they arrived.

Fun fact: Chiara is a proud cat mom to two Bengal cats, Simba and Jasper, and is always happy to talk about them.

April 2026 class recap: On Saturday, April 11, 2026, we hosted our first Yoga For A Cause class at Power Yoga Canada Mississauga (Lakeshore), led by Chiara Falcao. Together, we welcomed 20 participants and raised $500 in support of the Centre for Grief and Healing. These funds will help support the training of a new volunteer, who will go on to support multiple individuals in the community who are navigating grief. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the class such a meaningful experience.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and helped spread the word. Your support helps create space for connection, healing, and community.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge the land on which we gather, and where the Centre for Grief and Healing (BFO-H/P) operates. This land has been and is still inhabited by many Indigenous Peoples since the last Ice Age which was 13,000 years ago. In particular, we acknowledge the territory of the Anishinabek-Ojibway/Chippewa, Huron-Wendat, and Haudenosaunee peoples. The land that is home to the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people. We are grateful to now be on the land that is the land of Indigenous Peoples since time began.

The land we are presently on is under the stewardship of the Mississaugas of the Credit, who are the signatories of the treaty and holders of the area. We recognize that the land we are on was taken away through colonization, oppression, and expropriation. In the hopes for a better future and building relationships, we recognize, require, and honour what is in the truth and reconciliation report and the calls to action. We acknowledge and are grateful for having the privilege of being where we are, for this land, and for the Indigenous Peoples who have and continue to inhabit this land.

This Land Acknowledgment was created in collaboration with Indigenous Elder, Cat Criger.
