PLANT A TREE IN HONOUR OF YOUR LOVED ONE
We invite you to celebrate the life of your loved one, by planting a tree in their honour.
This is a great way to pay tribute to your loved one, while making an
extremely meaningful contribution to your community.
A Celebration of Life
As part of our National Bereavement Day Campaign, we invite you to join us as we plant 100 trees in honour of our loved ones*. Together with the City of Mississauga, we are helping conserve and enhance the City's open spaces and forested areas for future generations to enjoy. Leaving a living legacy is a great way to celebrate the life and memories of our cherished loved ones.
How you can Participate:
In Mississauga, there are 2.1 million trees on both public and private lands. Help us add one million more by 2032.
All you have to do to participate in this program is:
1. Donate $100.00 in support of the Centre for Grief & Healing (All proceeds donated will help keep our programs and services free of charge).
2. Complete online tribute form (below)
Trees will be planted in the Spring of 2020 - we are targeting a May 30th, 2020 date but the City of Mississauga will work with us to decide the optimal time to afford the trees the best opportunity to thrive. We will provide updates and details as they are confirmed. You are welcome to plant the tree yourself, with your family, or we can plant the tree on your behalf if you prefer.
