Programs
Are you dealing with the death of a loved one?
You are not alone. Whether you are newly bereaved or dealing with a loss in your past, we wish you strength as you face the pain. You have already taken the first step towards healing by reaching out. We can help. We offer a place for you to discuss your experiences and learn about grief alongside others who themselves are bereaved and understand what you are feeling.
We can help you and your family deal with grief. How?
We offer a variety of ways for you to reach
out such as; one-to-one meetings with someone who has been
in a similar situation as you; Share & Support nights
that bring people together to share their stories and offer
each other compassion; a variety of mutual-support groups
including:
- Peer support groups for children - Children ages 6-8 and 9-12 who have experienced the death of a parent, caregiver or sibling
- Peer support groups for youth - Youth ages 13-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, caregiver, sibling or close friend
- Peer support groups for young adults - Young adults ages 18-30 who have experienced the death of a parent/caregiver or sibling
- Peer support groups for adults
- Parents of an infant child including miscarriages, babies that are born still and newborn/infant deaths
- Parents who have experienced the death of a child of any age through any cause of death
- Adults who have experienced the loss of a spouse/partner
- Share & Support - These meetings are open to adults in the community and can be attended on a monthly or weekly basis, at any of our various locations in the Peel and Halton regions. Share and Support allows family and friends to share and facilitate a further understanding of grief. For information on all of our Share and Support gatherings, click

All our groups are facilitated by fellow bereaved volunteers, and supported by professional advisors. Our volunteers are not professionally trained counselors or therapists and there is no fee for our services. Our members are people like you who have experienced the death of a loved one and who are on a similar journey of learning to live with their grief. Our members have experienced deaths across a wide range of situations including illness, accidents, trauma, murder, and suicide.
